Moxy Vote Features Green America Advocacy

Through Moxy Vote, shareholders with green values have an easy way to get informed, get involved, and take a stand on critical issues. The platform provides shareholders with an easy way to cast proxy votes, and offers positions on votes from over 50 different organizations, including Green America. Moxy Vote recently highlighted our work on Southern Company and Hershey.
Moxy Vote is part of a rising trend in shareholder activism, promoting free exchange of good information among shareholders, advocate groups, and public companies, with a resource section on Good Causes that provides shareholders vital information to help them make decisions on upcoming votes.

Moxy Vote featured our report on Southern Company in its Good Causes: Environment focus section, related to corporate environmental policy and impact. The report found a weak record on the environment. According to Todd Larsen, Director of Corporate Responsibility, the economic benefits for customers and shareholders comes “at a high price: the extraordinary pollution produced by Southern Company, which harms the communities it operates in, as well as fueling global warming, and the risks posed by the company’s increasing use of nuclear power and growing coal ash ponds.”

The Good Causes: Human Rights focus section featured our rally in Times Square to call on Hershey to “raise the bar” and eliminate child labor from its cocoa production supply chain.

Are you a shareholder? Sign up with Moxy Vote to make your voice heard (it’s free!). Short on time to research issues related to your votes? Green America makes recommendations, and you can choose to vote with Green America’s positions. Learn more about how it works.
